They are provided for general information only and are not a quote, bid, guarantee, or engineering, construction, legal, tax or financial advice. No contractor, engineer or advisor relationship is created by using this site.
Results depend on your inputs and our assumptions
Every result is based on the measurements you enter and on default figures such as asphalt density, waste allowance, truck size, compaction and product coverage. These defaults are typical values, not measurements of your materials or site. Real quantities can differ because of mix design, compaction, base condition, slope, edges, irregular shapes and how the work is done. Check your measurements and change the defaults to match your supplier's figures.
Prices change
Typical prices come from published cost guides and public bid results and were last checked November 6, 2026. Asphalt and other material prices vary by region, season, oil prices, job size, delivery distance and contractor, and can change at any time. Typical ranges do not include every cost, such as removal of an old surface, grading, drainage, permits, minimum charges or taxes. Rely on a written quote, not on this site, for what a job will cost.
Before you order or hire
- Confirm quantities with your material supplier before ordering.
- Get written quotes from licensed and insured paving contractors, and check their references.
- Check local building codes, permit requirements, right-of-way and apron rules, and HOA rules.
- Call 811 before you dig to have underground utilities marked.
- Follow product labels and safety instructions for sealers, crack fillers and equipment. Hot asphalt, heavy equipment and some sealers can cause injury.
