About FreeAsphaltCalc
Draft: the owner's legal business name will be added here before this page is final.
FreeAsphaltCalc is a small set of free calculators for asphalt driveways, parking pads and paths: how many tons to order, what the job is likely to cost, how much sealer to buy and how asphalt compares with concrete. Everything runs in your browser, works on a phone, and needs no sign-up.
Who runs it
The site is owned and operated by FreeAsphaltCalc, a small U.S. publisher of free online tools. We are not a paving contractor and don't sell asphalt.
How the numbers are made
The formulas, default densities and price sources are listed on the methodology page. The math is covered by automated tests and checked against a published worked example from another asphalt calculator. Typical prices come from dated cost guides and public bid results, and are reviewed every year; they were last checked November 6, 2026.
How the site makes money
We may show display ads below results and may add links to paving-quote services or product retailers. If we do, the links are labeled and explained on the affiliate disclosure page. Payments never change the math.
Estimates, not quotes
Results are planning estimates. Local prices, soil, drainage and the condition of an existing driveway all change the real number, so go by a contractor's written quote. See the disclaimer.
